Lately I have been all about comfort. My day-to-day uniform consists almost exclusively of comfy jeans, t-shirts, and a jacket/sweater and for a long time, I would rely on flat boots to add a little extra something. But no more, my friends. I'm all about sneakers recently and more specifically - slip-ons.
This obsession was purely by accident, I swear. There I was, taking an innocent stroll in Target when it happens; oh no, this is what I was scared of. I got suckered into looking at something that I hadn't gone to Target to buy. Although I should have resisted, the shoes drew me in, especially since Target had recently brought out their shoes for Spring. That's when I spotted these babies, a lovely pinky nude pair of slip-ons that came from their Dolce Vita line (and not available online, for some reason). I've never believed in love at first sight before this very moment.
I have worn these almost daily and I love the look of them. The best part is that they cost less than $30 and they're comfortable as all heck. I have a job where I am constantly on my feet and walking, and these stand up to the job with no problems. My only real gripe is that they don't come in black or all white, but I may just have to sneak off to Vans to fuel this growing obsession with slip-ons.
Now, these fit in perfectly with my daily outfit of jeans and a t-shirt, but I think that these shoes in particular are super versatile. Today I paired a striped t-shirt with my favorite Topshop leather jacket (similar here) and Paige jeans. When Phoenix heat really starts creeping up, I see myself swapping out the jeans for flowy shorts or even with a striped dress if I want to dress up a little bit. If you're in the market for a new pair of slip-ons (because I know that I am), you should definitely check these out!
Below are a few more of my favorite slip-ons that I am lusting over! Are you guys on the slip-on train as well?
xx Mary
